I did like this, would be good to see it before the new on comes along, which I presume will be a bit of a CGI fest.
The trailer looks pretty CGI but I admit, it also looks pretty fun.
I’ll be giving it a go 🙂
I’ve always liked this film. It is so fun to watch. Van Halen is an extra. Oh boy. That was the band’s last video they made with Sammy Hagar who really didn’t want to do it and didn’t want fans to spend $18 on a CD for the song and an instrumental by Eddie and Alex. He would be fired from the band a month later and well… it led to one of the greatest disasters in popular music.
I was more of David Lee Roth guy than a Van Hagar and I was so excited when I saw Dave being back in the band only to realize it was a lame publicity stunt that made Dave look like a fool. I was 15 when that happened but if the 4-year old me saw this. He would’ve thrown a fucking fit.
I’m pretty much equal Roth and Hagar. Both brought very different vibes and both had some killer tunes. I forgot it was their last video with Sammy.
The one good thing about that whole debacle was that it got both fans of Dave and Sammy together. Oh, and Van Halen III was not Gary Cherone’s fault. It was all Eddie’s fault.
