Incredible work ethic/willpower in the face of everything he dealt with. He’s passed away as a legend. Black Panther will be what most people rightfully think of him as, but I think first of all the African American icons he’s portrayed to impressive degrees in James Brown, Thurgood Marshall, and Jackie Robinson. He will be missed.
He clearly had a passion for thoughtfully representing black history as seen in the characters he took on. But he didn’t just play the characters, he played them really well, giving the audience a sense of who these men really were and what they went through.
He will be missed.
