Without a doubt, my most anticipated movie of 2023 is Christopher Nolan’s “Oppenheimer”, a biography of J. Robert Oppenheimer who became known as the “Father of the Atomic Bomb” due to his work on the Manhattan Project. Seeing Nolan tackle a period biopic with this type of subject matter is really exciting, and I’m anxious to see what he brings to a movie like this. We still have a while to wait, but we did get a nice treat earlier today – the film’s latest poster. It’s a simple yet great design and very fitting. I can’t wait to see and learn more from “Oppenheimer” leading up to its release next year. So what do you think of the new poster?

Ooh! “Shot with IMAX film cameras” has me excited to see this at the IMAX. I’ve had an obsession with Cillian Murphy for awhile now (after seeing Peaky Blinders.) How they chose an Irishman to play a German is a mystery, but I’m willing to give it a chance. Not many names in that cast list I don’t recognize.
Murphy is such a fantastic actor and a Christopher Nolan favorite. I bet he’ll do a phenomenal job. Extremely versatile actor. Unfortunately we have to wait a whole year…

Nolan, Imax…and that cast. Sounds like a winner. Haven’t heard that much about this one yet. I loved how they promoted Nolan’s Tenet, having a few minutes from the movie actually serving as a trailer. Did the same for Dunkirk as I recall. Looking forward to this film.
Oh I can’t wait. As you said, Nolan + IMAX + the cast. I’m all over this thing.

I gotta say I adored Tenet. But I’m a Nolan homer so…. 🙂
I love Nolan too but I thought that film was too overly-intellectual and too much exposition. It was entertaining but it’s his weakest film I think he’s done so far. I’m definitely looking forward to this. It also has the extremely-underrated Olivia Thirlby.
I know what you mean about the exposition. But for me, this was actually a movie that warranted it. I thought it kept the characters in such a place that the exposition felt natural to their circumstances. Very ambitious film and I can see why some would take issue with it.
Can’t wait! I love Murphy. I look forward to Nolan’s efforts behind the camera

I’ll probably see it if there isn’t any time travel involved as there was in the last movie 😉
Definitely doesn’t look to be any time travel. But it’s Nolan so you never know! 🤣
