Finally! 20th Century Studios has given us the official trailer to one of my most anticipated movies from one of my very favorite filmmakers. “The Bikeriders” sees writer and director Jeff Nichols (“Take Shelter”, Mud”, “Loving”) assembling a stellar cast that includes Austin Butler, Jodie Comer, Tom Hardy, Mike Faist, Norman Reedus, Boyd Holbrook, and Nichols favorite Michael Shannon. How can you not be excited with that kind of talent in front and behind the camera.
Set in the 1960s, the movie features Comer’s Kathy recounting her days with a biker gang known as the Vandals. During that time she fell in love with a young hellion named Benny (Butler) but soon found herself at odds with Benny’s older brother, Johnny (Hardy), the leader of the Vandals. The trailer teases us with a gripping and ultimately violent story carved out of the 1960s biker culture. This looks great!
“The Bikeriders” wheels into theaters on December 1st. Check out the trailer below and let me know if you’ll be seeing it or taking a pass.

Looking forward to this even more than Ferrari!
Oh me too. This looks amazing. Big fan of all of Nichols’ movies. Throw in Hardy, Comer, Shannon, and Butler…
HELL YEAH! What a cast! Been jonesin for some Tom Hardy for awhile. Comer is one of the best actresses out there today.
I’m super excited. I’ve met Nichols on a couple of occasions and he has such a great grasp of cinema. His movies really have their own flavor and I tend to love them. And yes…that cast!
How cool is that that you have met Nichols! Tom Hardy is a pretty man but they have roughed him up nicely with the prosthetics. I still know he’s under there though 🙂
Jeff is from my home state of Arkansas and often comes back to promote the film culture here. One year he brought Adam Driver. Another year he brought Richard Linklater. Yet another year it was Joel Edgerton.
❤
Hell yeah I want to see this. I’m a fan of Jeff Nichols’ films and I like all that he’s done. Plus, this cast looks awesome.
110% agree. Everything about this trailer popped for me.
I have no idea what ANYONE is doing with those accents, but Nichols has never let me down so I remain excited.
Nichols has a perfect record with me too. Can’t wait.
