New Character Posters Drop for Zack Snyder’s “Rebel Moon” Franchise

The first cut of Zack Snyder’s “Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire” has released and Netflix has dropped a series of cool character posters to go along with it. To absolutely no surprise the film has been met with scalding reviews from many critics. Yet equally predictable is the film’s enormous success as it quickly became the #1 movie on Netflix worldwide.

This first installment in Snyder’s sprawling space opera introduces us to a fascinating original world full of interesting characters, jaw-dropping locations, and of course stylish action. It’s a fun two hours but it does more to entice than fulfill, ramping up the anticipation for the already announced extended cut. You can read my full review of “Rebel Moon – Part One” HERE.

  1. Great posters! I watched it 2 nights ago. Hard not to see it as Star-Warsian. My kids said the Star Wars realm wanted to pull it into it — but with conditions — and Zack said no fuggin way. I’m glad he did it his way. I love the special effects and the assembled cast of characters, heroes and villains alike. I definitely see some editing problems, which won’t stop me from watching the next installment. Maybe the extended cut will fill in some of the gaps? How many parts will there be? Sad to say I’m not impressed with Gunnar. Maybe he’ll grow on me with time. 😦

    • Really glad you enjoyed it too. I love the Star Wars vibes and it make sense considering Snyder originally pitched it years ago as a Star Wars installment. I’m really looking forward to the extended cut.

My understanding is that there are two main installments and then numerous spin-offs. We shall see…

  2. I still want to see the film though I think I’d want to wait for the extended cut of the film. People tend to trash on Zack Snyder but I give him props for his ambition and wanting to tell big stories no matter how flawed they are. People shit on him yet they don’t do the same for other renowned hacks like Shawn Levy, Michael Bay, Roland Emmerich, Uwe Boll (does he still make movies), Sean McNamara, and Jonathan Liebsman.

  3. I was going to wait for the extended cut, but Phil said oh crack on with it, we’ll want to watch it twice anyway, and he was right! It is so well done, and we both thought this was Star Wars for grown-ups, which we are 🙂
