Know Your Movies – Three Hints, One Guess

MOVIES

It can’t only be reviews, Phenomenal 5 lists, and commentaries, right? Know Your Movies is all about having fun. Here’s how it works: I’ll share a single shot from a movie. It can be extremely serious or completely absurd. After that I’ll provide you with three hints. The rest is up to you. Hop on the comments section and share your guess as well as any thoughts you have on the movie, actor/actress, or the scene. It should be a blast.

Today’s image is from a film that has grown more appreciated over time. So here’s the shot. Three hints will follow.

DAZED Purchase

    • No worries. No competition at all. Just a fun little individual challenge followed by thoughts on the film, scene, performers, whatever. Personally I love this seen. The cashier is hilarious!

    • Yes! And this is such a great scene. The cashier cracks me up. The lady walking out the picture is pregnant. The cashier just gave her helpful hints for a healthy pregnancy as she was puffing on a cigarette and had a bottle of booze that she was buying. As she walks out he says “See you tomorrow” as if she’s a regular customer. Funny.

  1. Dazed and Confused. One of my absolute favourites!

Slater: Didja ever look at a dollar bill, man? There’s some spooky shit goin’ on there. And it’s green too.

    • It hearkens back to a time that just doesn’t exist anymore. I’m not really speaking of the stoner stuff. But the driving around at night. Cruising the drive-in. Listening to music on the radio. It was all such a big deal and Richard Linklater really captures it perfectly.
