  1. I really loved the last shot, after a very dark set of events, there was a hopefulness about that scene that still gives me chills. Great movie .

    • Same here. I vividly remember first seeing that shot as a kid. I kept saying “It can’t be over. They have to save Han. It can’t be over.”

  2. To me, still the definitive film of the Star Wars franchise. I still have a digital copy of the original version though the “remastered” version doesn’t do much to deter from the original.

    • Oh it’s so good. I’m with you, it remains my very favorite of the franchise. It never gets old and I still remember the effect it had on me as a kid.

  3. Cool!

I remember coming back from school and watching the VHS of The empire strikes back while having lunch… I must have seen it a hundred times!

It’s great to see so many good moments all at once in a post!

    • Great story. I can’t tell you how many times we watched the original trilogy on VHS. It’s funny, I don’t watch movies over and over to the same degree as I once did. There was I time where my brother and I would watch it three or four times a week. HA!
