I’m a huge fan of the two “Conjuring” movies which focus on the paranormal adventures of Ed and Lorraine Warren (so perfectly played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga). But there are other films considered to be part of the Conjuring Universe that are always interesting but a bit hit-or-miss when it comes to quality. The “Annabelle” films are a good example.
The first “Annabelle” movie fell flat while the second was a step in the right direction. Now we get a third installment titled “Annabelle Comes Home”. The second trailer has dropped and it doesn’t leave the best impression. Aside from the brief moments with the Warrens, it looks pretty uninspired. From what we see, Annabelle is unleashed through an eye-rolling act of stupidity and a lot of horror movie box-checking follows.
“Annabelle Comes Home” hits theaters June 26th. Check out the trailer below and let me know if you’ll be seeing it or giving it a pass.
Keith & the Movies 
I guess the Warrens will elevate it, but that wasn’t a good trailer indeed. I’m so pissed this arrives before The Conjuring 3, which Wan isn’t even directing
Right! The Warrens are all that stood out to me in the trailer. Everything else looked flat and frankly pretty stupid.
Yeah it looked like a regular horror film, and you just know whatever is in that room, it’s all getting spin offs lol
And that’s a ton of spin offs. And all it takes is a brain-dead teen to trigger one! 😂
Well this just looks really silly. And isn’t it a rip off from that Chucky thing movie?
It looks really dumb to me which is unfortunate. It’s a little different that Chucky but you wouldn’t know it by the trailer. It looks equally dumb! LOL
This looks like another unnecessary, dull sequel. If they have to, I’d rather they make The Conjuring sequels with never-seen-before dolls and ghosts. The Warrens investigated tons of cases, and that’s plenty of material!
YES!!! I would much rather see the Warrens. Love the chemistry between Farmiga and Wilson.
I really liked the first two Conjuring movies but I haven’t watched the Annabelle ones yet. It seems like an almost impossible feat to match th first one.
They are no where close to being in the same league with the Conjuring flicks. I did like the second Annabelle movie but I don’t think your missing anything by skipping them.
Love the warrens, they make the movies. Worried for this one, feeling a little overdone at this point, BUT I’m still going to go see it and hope for the best!
Same here. The Warren’s are what keeps the entire universe together for me. Hopefully they are used here for more than just filler. Fingers crossed.
