Oh how my house has been buzzing since the new trailer for “Wonder Woman 1984” trailer dropped over the weekend. Director Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot gave a much needed feminine jolt to the superhero genre with 2017’s fantastic “Wonder Woman”. I absolutely loved the movie, but my wife and daughter REALLY loved it.
With its catchy “WW84” moniker and Gadot once again leading the charge, this stylish and energetic first look has me really excited. It’s set (obviously) in 1984 which puts Diana right in the middle of the Cold War. But the trailer doesn’t focus on that. Instead it’s funky and playful in a way I wasn’t expecting. I don’t quite know what to make of it but I know I like it. And it has definitely left me wanting to see more.
“Wonder Woman 1984” hits theaters June 5, 2020. Check out the trailer below and let me know if you will be seeing it or taking a pass.
Wonder Woman is one of my fav movies in the superhero genre. Loved Gadot as Wonder Woman , she truly nailed it .This trailer looks pretty funky and fun, capturing the 80s vibe. Really interested in what Jenkins has in store for this movie .
Same here! Our living room lit up watching the trailer for the first time. It’s such a weird trailer but in a really, really good way. As a teen from the 80’s I’m like you – anxious to see what all Jenkins throws our way.
I will be seeing it. And I can’t wait. PS – superhero movies typically are NOT my genre. The only reason I went to see the first one was because one of my friends said it took place in WWI, and I couldn’t wait to criticize all the historical mistakes. Instead, I was completely blown away, and now Wonder Woman is one of my favorite movies ever! ❤ (And I found very few mistakes!)
Oh that’s awesome! I loved it too. My wife is a big fan of the character and my daughter has followed in her footsteps. They were so much fun to watch when WW first hit theaters. LOL
Doing the happy dance here!
Oh you know it! I’m not sure who cheered louder, my daughter or my wife!!! LOL
Of course I’m going to see this. I might even bring my mom to see it as she did like the last one. I’m eager to see what Pedro Pascal and Kristen Wiig will do in this film.
There ya go! It will be a full family outing for us. Can’t wait!
Yahoo! I’m in!!
I love Kristen Wiig.
I’ve grown to really like her too.
Me too! You liked the first movie, right?
Yes. I love Chris Pine. I loved the film.
I thought so. All four of us will be there opening weekend.
😁
Make that five.
Your kids must be teenagers by now…
A senior and a freshman!
Fun times. 😁
The setting, Diana’s general badassery, Steve’s return, Pedro Pascal’s villain… This trailer is just so brilliantly put together. It doesn’t reveal any huge plot points, yet teases such wonderful things! I’m excited.
Well said. It looks like sooooo much fun. That snappy 80’s vibe is right up my alley.
I think I saw this trailer about 100 times by now. It’s so well edited and that Blue Monday remix is FIRE
That remix sizzles, no doubt. Its such a crazy trailer in all the best ways. Can’t wait.
I’m definitely looking forward to this one!
Me too. What are your thoughts on that trailer. Definitely is unique.
Yes, the trailer definitely is unique, and it looks to be a similar tone to the first one. My biggest question is probably: How the heck is Steve returning?! 🙂
That’s the kicker! I have no idea. It’ll be interesting to find out.
It’s a trailer that gets you interested/hyped, without actually revealing that much of the plot. I like it when a trailer can do that.
I’ve seen it also and I believe it’ll be a successful one.
It will be here soon. Can’t wait.
