Sparked by two of the best performances of the year from Paul Giamatti and Da’Vine Joy Randolph, this funny yet heartfelt dramedy has deservedly received widespread acclaim and should remain a major player throughout awards season.

  1. They didn’t waste any time getting that out there on DVD. It was just in a theater around here a few weeks ago. I wanted to see it, but that coincided with when I was struck down for a while with ebola, or at least some sort of winter viral garbage. By the time I recovered, it was out of here. I’ll get a chance to see it sooner than I had thought.

      • Yup. Got out to Ferrari this week, excellent. Funny reading reviews at Rotten Tomatoes on that one. One review will say nearly the opposite of another review. Reviewing is not a science, that’s for sure.

      • True. It’s individual opinion…at least it’s supposed to be. I know when I log my reviews into Rotten Tomatoes I make an effort not to pay attention to any trends. Then afterwards, it’s interesting to go back and look and see what fellow critics are saying.
