For months social media has been begging for Marvel Studios to finally drop a trailer for “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. Last night they finally obliged and gave MCU fans a glimpse into one of the most highly anticipated movies on the studio’s docket. Of course Tom Holland reprises his role as the iconic webslinger, but this time the universe has changed in ways that will have a wide-reaching impact.
The trailer is packed with stuff to take in, but for me it managed to be both exciting and perplexing. It looks like Doctor Strange is set to play a big part, but what we see makes him seem (dare I say it) kinda dumb. I’ll let you watch it for yourself, but he allows something to happen that I would never imagine from someone of his power and knowledge. And while the trailer was filled with great images, it was a bit convoluted. But then we get the end shot, and boy is it a good one. That alone gets me going!
“Spider-Man: No Way Home” opens in theaters December 17th . Check out the trailer below and let me know if you’ll be seeing it or taking a pass.
Marvel’s making it hard for me to step away. While I wasn’t particularly impressed with Black Widow, Shang-Chi looks amazing as does the new Spider-Man. I’m still more interested in what DC’s doing with THEIR stuff, but Marvel’s making some really interesting choices, and not necessarily in a bad way. The multi-verse thing, though? They’re going to have walk a fine line between amazing and stupid. It could go very badly if they’re not careful, but Kevin Feige knows what he’s doing. I just watched Far From Home last night, and I still enjoyed the heck out of it, so I’m really interested in this one.
I’m interested in this one too, more for its potential than anything shown in the trailer. Well, that’s not entirely true. How can you not love pumpkin bombs and Alfred Molina? I’m not sure what to think of Doctor Strange, but I’m sure there is more we will learn in the actual movie.
At this point, it couldn’t be worse than Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3. No Way Home looks like it’s in a completely different league.
SM3 was baaaad. It has been years since I even attempted to re-watch it.
I had been waiting for this as I am excited though I hope it doesn’t go into the territory of Spider-Man 3 or even worse… The Amazing Spider-Man 2. I’m thinking that that might not be Doctor Strange but either a variant of him or something else. Plus, there was that tiny glimpse of Daredevil as Parker’s lawyer as I was happy to see Alfred Molina as Doc Ock.
Right now, I really can’t muster a lot of excitement at this point as I just read the news that Charlie Watts of the Rolling Stones died at the age of 80. This is the end of an era and I’ve been wanting to see the Stones for years but if they were to tour again. I don’t think I can go because it doesn’t matter who you put in on drums. It’s not going to be the same.
I didn’t hear about Charlie Watts! WOW! RIP
Pass 🕸
Really? I figured you would be into this one.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings & Eternals are the only MCU films I’m seeing until Spider-Man’s clear
I’ll see it when it streams, not a fan of this iteration of Spiderman, but I like the Dr.Strange input so I’m in.
I like Strange too, but boy this trailer makes him look dim.
