It’s Star Wars Day!!!!

It’s May 4th which means it’s Star Wars Day. Sadly I dropped the ball this year. Due to the load of movie screeners I STILL need to watch, I wasn’t able to put together a big post celebrating that galaxy far, far away. But that couldn’t stop from at least geeking out a little. After all, that’s what this day is all about and as an unashamed Star Wars geek, I feel it’s my duty.

This year’s highlight is the premiere of a new Disney+ animated show “The Bad Batch”, a spiritual successor of sorts to the acclaimed “The Clone Wars” series. I had the privilege of seeing the first two episodes early and let me just say the series gets off to a stellar start. The 72-minute pilot is available now on Disney’s streaming service and you don’t want to miss it.

So how can I pay tribute to this franchise that has meant so much to me over the years? How about with a simple gallery of some of the greatest, most unique, and utterly unforgettable characters who have populated this incredible universe over the years? Enjoy them, let me know which are your favorites, and share some of your favorite Star Wars memories. Oh, and of course, May the 4th be with you….always.

  1. Even I know of the awfulness of Jar-Jar. 🙄 As I’ve yet to see any more than the initial 3 movies, I’ll take a pass on the TV show. Though in truth I don’t like animated stuff anyway. I’d have a fit if they animated a Marvel series!

  2. While I have seen all the Star Wars movies, I never got into it as much as most people. I’m sure I have just provoked the wrath of the internet with that comment, but there it is 🙂 Although I will say I really, really enjoyed Rogue One. We just got it on 4k and I’m very excited to give it a whirl with that and the surround sound.

  3. I appreciate how you recognize that Jar-Jar needs love, too.

Also you couldn’t have found a cooler, more badass pic of Darth Vader man. That there is the baddest villain on this planet or any other. (Yeah, I’ve come along way since my days of actively disliking Star Wars.)

    • NICE!!!! Come to the light side my friend!

Dude, I love that Darth Vader image. The scene (from Rogue One) is one of my favorite Vader moments. I’ve watched it sooo many times.

      • Yeah, that Keith, was the turning point for me. He comes slashing his way down the hall it had pretty much all hairs on my arm standing up. That was a tremendous sequence, capping off this rather emotional odyssey for Team Felicity Jones. I love love LOVE Rogue One. I credit it for helping me get into the universe more.
