The first trailer for the DC Extended Universe’s “Black Adam” left me interested but not sold. Now the studio has dropped trailer #2 and now I can proudly say I’m all onboard. Sure there are still questions. But I really like the new footage and (more importantly) the collection of characters who will be be introduced to the DCEU. And just hearing the words “Justice Society” uttered had me smiling like a little boy. Doctor Fate, Hawkman, Atom Smasher…. Let’s go!
I’m still not sure if I’ll be able to see past Dwayne Johnson’s big personality to get to the core of the character Black Adam. But the actor certainly brings the intensity in the new trailer. I love Black Adam, and his story is tremendous movie material. And what I like even more is that this feels like the return of the larger-than-life superhero movie. While the MCU seems content with light, frothy, and more grounded content, DC is at its best when it takes its heroes seriously and tells their stories with plenty of grit. That’s what I want from this movie, and the new trailer looks promising.

It looks very interesting and I’m with you on the Justice Society, that made me smile . I do share your concerns about Johnson. I hope he can move past his over the top personality and presence to do Black Adam justice .
I’m excited. I like superhero movies that are larger than life and aren’t afraid to get a little dark. Really hope this delivers that.
I share those concerns about Johnson. Would have liked to see someone other than a megawatt star like Dwayne get this role. I like him just fine, I just think DC should have looked elsewhere. I am pumped for it regardless!
One thing I’ll say, Johnson looks to be very serious about the character. Hopefully that will show in the film.
It does look interesting though some of the visual effects look a bit bloated at times. I’ll check it out though I’m still angry over Batgirl.
I’m really jazzed about Justice Society. If done well, they could be a lot of fun.
Can’t believe I’m saying this but I’m all done with superhero movies. The trailer didn’t move that at all. 😔
I know where you’re coming from. But I’m optimistic about this one. I have some nostalgic attachment to Black Adam and Justice Society. I also like how DC movies have a little edge to them. That’s what I’m hoping for at least.
Looks good. Aldis Hodge, Pierce Brosnan as support cast. Heck yes. I haven’t jumped on any superhero bandwagon, but I gotta see The Rock as Black Adam.
Black Adam is a really good comics character, and I love their choices of side characters. Hopefully this is as good as it has the potential to be.
