Character posters are a big thing and what can I say, I like them. The latest to get the character poster treatment is Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of their own 1989 animated feature “The Little Mermaid”. The film is directed by Rob Marshall (“Chicago”, “Nine”, “Mary Poppins Returns”) who’s working from a script by David Magee (“Finding Neverland”, “Life of Pi”, “Mary Poppins Returns”). Disney’s live-action remakes have been pretty hit-or-miss, but they’re putting a lot into it this one.
These beautiful new character posters give us close-up looks at the film’s interesting cast which includes Halle Bailey, Daveed Diggs, Javier Bardem, Awkwafina, Jonah Hauer-King, Jacob Tremblay, and Melissa McCarthy. “The Little Mermaid” releases exclusively in theaters on May 26th. I caint believe what they done to this picture. Changing up all the characters. They went and computerized and de aged that Sylvester Stallone so he could play that prince Eric.
Say what?
I like the Ariel poster.
Sebastian is my favorite. Under the sea! Under the sea! Plus, Halle Bailey is beautiful as Ariel.
I’m so out of the loop on The Little Mermaid. Saw it once and don’t remember a thing about it.
Disney should be ashamed of themselves really, apart from Prince Eric falling into the sea their ridiculous plot has little to do with the wonderful story by Hans Christian Anderson so I’ll pass.
While I think the posters are cool, I’m really not all that into this movie. Then again I don’t have any real connection to the animated film either.
I Think Halle Bailey as Ariel In the live adaptation of Disney’s The Little Mermaid Is the Worst Casting Of all time
Disney’s The Little Mermaid 2023 is just Awful as Cats (2019 film)
I Think Halle Bailey couldn’t act her way out of a paper bag
I Think Angourie Rice would bet The Perfect as Ariel In In The Little Mermaid” live-action remake
I Think Da’Vine Joy Randolph would bet The Perfect as Ursula In In The Little Mermaid” live-action remake
I Think Identity politics
I Think Disney Need to stop with Identity politics Now
